BioDigital product accessibility

BioDigital believes all humans should be able to understand their health, and we built the BioDigital Human platform to help them do just that.

Because we want to empower all of our users to have an effective and accessible learning experience, we have built our learner-facing product, the Human Viewer, to support Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 standards as described in the report below, which is based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®).

Notes

  • BioDigital’s library of 3D models have not been evaluated or updated to meet the WCAG requirements. This report is specific to the Human Viewer, the user interface that displays and allows users to interact with the 3D models.
  • For the most accessible experience, we advise enabling the Information Panel and Search tool in your published Human Viewer.
    • The Information Panel provides titles and descriptions for each chapter of our 3D models.
    • The Search tool provides an Anatomy Tree and Anatomy List, which are screen reader-compatible and enable users to select/highlight, hide, and isolate anatomical structures in the 3D model.
    • You can find more information about each of these options on our help center.
