The Anatomy Tree is an interactive, expandable list of all of the anatomical structures that make up your current 3D model.
Every 3D anatomy and health condition model in the BioDigital Human is made up of dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of individual anatomical structures. When you edit a model in Human Studio, all of these structures are listed in the Anatomy Tree, where they are organized from the system level (such as the cardiovascular system) down to the individual structure (such as the mitral valve of the heart), and each level is interactive.
Where can I find the Anatomy Tree?
The Anatomy Tree is available in all 3D models and tours opened in BioDigital's web and mobile apps. It is also available in the Anatomy Explorer, which is enabled by default in all published 3D models but can be disabled in the publishing process.
Follow the steps below to access the Anatomy Tree in three different parts of the BioDigital Human platform: on the View page, in Human Studio, and in the Human Viewer.
-
The Anatomy Tree on the View page in the web app:
- Hover over the model in Explore or My Library.
- Click View or View Tour at the bottom of the model's tile to open it in View mode.
- Find the toolbar in the upper-left corner of the 3D scene.
- Click the magnifying glass icon in the toolbar to open the Anatomy Explorer.
-
The Anatomy Tree in Human Studio in the web app:
- Hover over the model in Explore or My Library.
- Click Customize in Studio at the bottom of the model’s tile.
- Click the Anatomy tab in the panel on the left.
-
The Anatomy Tree in the Human Viewer (i.e., a published 3D model):
- Find the toolbar in the upper-left corner of the 3D scene.
Note: If you do not see a toolbar, make sure your mouse is hovering over the Viewer. The toolbar is designed to disappear from view after a few seconds.
- Click the magnifying glass icon in the toolbar to open the Anatomy Explorer.
Note: If there is no magnifying glass icon in the toolbar, this indicates that the Anatomy Explorer was disabled during the pubishing process and is not available for this model.
- Find the toolbar in the upper-left corner of the 3D scene.
